Welcome to May. Sorry haven't blogged recently..it was due to my painful arm, which I blogged about last time!I hope you like the following tip:
Before you pay for professional teeth whitening, or even an at-home kit, you may want to try the following:
Try brushing your teeth with plain old bicarbonate of soda. To give it even more ooomph add some 3% hydrogen peroxide. You can do this by either creating a paste of the two ingredients or by simply dipping the brush in the hydrogen peroxide and then into the bicarbonate of soda.
Brush for the usual amount of time. Rinse thoroughly. You don't want to be swallowing either the horrid stuff the mixture has loosened,or the hydrogen peroxide.
Personally I have just been using the hydrogen peroxide from the chemist [drugstore]. However, you can purchase food-grade hydrogen peroxide; a search reveals lots of sites!

Ideally we should not be reading, watching TV or even standing while eating. Why? Because it leads to us eating more than we need. And because attention is diverted food is often not chewed properly.
Also, if you happen to be watching or reading something violent or upsetting this quality can transfer to the food.
But I would be fibbing if I said I never snacked while watching TV!
Try frozen grapes. Just pop some washed grapes in the freezer...and then pop them one at a time into your mouth..
Divinely delicious!
Of course, you don't have to be watching TV...you could also be on a sun lounger reading a novel...

May 24, 2005 12:51 - Neem oil to repel midges and mosquitos.
Don't let midges or mosquitos spoil your summer fun...
Here in Scotland the midges are an absolute nuisance!
Try this wonderful natural repellent. Just add 1 part neem oil to 50 parts coconut oil. If you prefer you could use almond oil. However, the coconut oil is deliciously cooling. Or maybe mix the two, because coconut oil sets unless the temperature is reasonably high.
These 'pesky pests' don't like the smell of neem and can smell it from the air. To feel even safer I also like to add about 10 drops of citronella oil.

Are you trying to lose weight but finding it difficult to stop eating cookies and cake after meals?
Try chewing on fennel seeds. They help your digestion and send a message to your stomach that you've 'had enough'. You'll more than likely find the desire for sweet goodies has gone.
Or maybe have a small bite or two of the gooey cake or crumbly cooky and then chew the fennel seeds
