July 1, 2005 15:02 - A new hairstyle in a mouse's click!
Welcome to July. Summer really is here. If you've got long flowing locks you may be tempted to have your hair cut shorter to keep cool. How did Rapunzel manage in the summer?Or you may be tempted to change your style for your holiday.
I've found a really fun site where you can see how you look with thousands of diferent styles and colours...
Before you get near the hairdressers! You just upload your photo to the site and then change your appearance with the click of a mouse. Great fun!
The site is called TheHairStyler.com
Happy styling!
July 3, 2005 12:05 - Fun Stuff First!
Here's a tip that works brilliantly for me. Instead of doing the boring or tedious stuff first try doing fun stuff first. What usually happens is that after enjoying the 'want to do'list for a while you'll proabably automatically want to tackle the 'need to do' list...
And it no longer seems a chore.
I've heard enlightened gurus calling this concept 'highest first'. The more you focus on whatever you think is highest the more of it you'll get.
Of course, if you really have a desire to file your tax return first and shop later then go with the flow!
July 20, 2005 17:54 - Easy detox and weight-loss.
Would you like a really easy detox and weight-loss diet? Here's an easy one. I've used it many times in the last few years. Usually whenever my clothes feel a bit tight, or I feel a little sluggish:For a few days just eat cous-cous [or millet] , fruit and vegetables. Season to your taste. Also drink at least one glass of lassi a day. This can be made by blending one part natural yoghurt with two parts water.
When I do this I never feel hungry and my jeans soon become nice and loose again!
Easy-peasy!
July 28, 2005 10:46 - I should be outside.
Those of us who don't live in hot climates often feel 'guilty' if the sun is shining and we choose to stay indoors.
Here on The Isle of Skye we certainly don't get year round sunshine!! However when the sun does shines we often feel we should 'make the most of it'.
A friend said recently "I hope it rains tomorrow. I want to stay under the duvet and read my book!"
It's a choice. If you want to stay indoors and the sun is shining it's possibly your body telling you "I've had enough sun. I'm not used to it!"
So go with your feelings not the shoulds. There are enough of those already! Apparently 20 mins a time is all your body needs to stock up on Vitamin D.
In or out it just feels nicer when the sun shines. Enjoy it is any way you choose. And say ***** to guilt!
By the way the sun is shining here today but but I'm in 'indoors' mode. However, I will make sure I make the most of it by sitting ouside for 20 mins. otherwise I might feel guilty. Especially if it rains tomorrow and I 'missed my chance'!!
August 5, 2005 14:19 - Gorgeous arms...fast!
Welcome to my first entry for August. Lazy, I know, but my excuse is that I'm making the most of summer while it's here!
Do you want to look even better in those summery sleevless and/or low backed clothes?
Here's a tip for you! Pilates arm circles are just fabulous. And fun! I love using mine and have noticed a real improvement in less than two weeks. They tone Tone triceps, biceps, shoulders and upper back!!
"A short, challenging upper body workout to create more shapely arms and shoulders - fast."
But it's not just fast, it's fast and fun...
