February 7, 2006 14:04 - Quick Weight Loss and Detox!
The healthier our food intake, the easier it is to maintain a healthy weight. Give your body what it really really wants and it won't constantly demand more...And it will be much easier to lose any excess pounds and enhance your health...
Your body loves super healthy food that's easy to digest.
February is the month that I only eat fruit, vegetables, healthy grains and pulses. I also stick to mainly water or caffeine and sugar-free drinks. And, of course, no alcohol.
At the end of January my jeans were getting to the point where I was convincing myself they'd 'shrunk in the wash'...
And now, after just six days they're lovely and lose again...
They must have stretched!
Here's an easy quick detox and weight loss fix I often use between Februarys.
February 9, 2006 13:40 - Happiness Booster!
Every evening before you go to sleep, dwell on positive or enjoyable things have happened that day...
These might include such 'big' things as a job promotion or such 'little' things as enjoying the sight of a flower or the taste of delicious fruit.
Ironically, upon reflection it's often the 'little ' things that are remembered more fondly.
Have a 'wee game' and see how many you can think of!
The more we focus on the positive the more of it we create. This is an excellent prelude to a happy sleep and a positive day to follow.

February 16, 2006 11:25 - Toothache Remedy!
As you know, toothache is no 'walk in the park'. If I have the dreaded toothache, and can't get to the dentist immediately, I find a salt mouthwash can zap the pain...
I dissolve 1tsp of salt per 4oz water. I then take a mouthful and swish about for at approx 30 seconds.
If you're trying this yourself you obviously make sure the mouthwash is a comfortable temperature and spit it out afterwards! If the first 'swish' doesn't work try again.
On a more general level, salt mouthwashes are excellent for helping to maintain tooth and gum health.
If your toothache isn't zapped with the salt wash, there's always that loyal standby, cloves, or clove oil.
March 1, 2006 15:52 - Quick way to flat tummy !?
Welcome to March! Want a flat tummy?
I mentioned, in my February 9th blog that I was having a bit of a detox. Well, amongst other things I gave up bread. I gradually introduced yeast-free bread, and then had a slice of yeasted bread...
My tummy swelled up and I felt really sluggish. Out of interest I measured my waist and it had expanded by two inches!
I remember my ayurvedic doctor telling me to try and avoid yeast as it is difficult to digest.
So if you'd like a flatter tummy [and want to be healthier]you could always try giving the yeast a miss for a while...
Here's a recipe for yeast free bread
By the way, I'm off on an 'internet free' trip so will not be blogging for a few weeks.
Stay happy and healthy, and have fun!
