November 4, 2006 13:36 - Cheer yourself up with toast in the mornings!!
Can you be bit grumpy in the mornings and do you like toast? Strange combination for a question! I recently purchased a Mickey Mouse Toaster and it's great fun for big kids and little kids alike.
It plays a tune when the toast is ready and even puts Mickeys's face onto the toast. So if you want to brighten up the mornings click on the toaster and check it out...
But I'll warn you you can't switch off that tune, at least you can't on mine, so there's so making a sneaky bit of toast in the night!
Of course you'll only be using it to put nice healthy brands of bread in. Here's a recipe for yeast free breadif you want to avoid the bloated tummy yeast can sometimes cause.
November 7, 2006 12:53 - Lose Weight By Allowing Chocolate!
Have you noticed that as soon as a food becomed prohibited you think about it even more? Using chocolate as a popular example as soon as you say "I'm giving up chocolate until I weigh blah" then what do you think about, and often eat, more than ever?
That's it chocolate...bars and bars of the yummy stuff! As soon as soon as we say "I am not allowed chocolate" we usually crave it all the more. I know I do!
A way around this is not to 'ban' any foods just keep making the choice. [Obviously, if you can't eat certain things for medical reasons then they should stay banned]
Using chocolate as an example, versus, let's say, an apple you could say "Well, I can have the chocolate if I want but this time I'm choosing the apple because I'm looking after my health...and waistline!"
Of course, all but those of us with halos are bound to sometimes make the chocolate choice...
But that's the point. It's a choice. And knowing it's a choice, and we are in control seems to make the healthier option the easiest and best choice...
Most of the time!

November 9, 2006 13:18 - Eat Less in this easy way!
Hi again! I can't remember the scientific jargon, but...I remember reading somewhere that the part of the brain that registers thirst and hunger are one and the same. Which means that we often think we're hungry when we're only thirsty.
So, to cut what could be a long and boring blog post short; if you think you're peckish head for the tap before the cookie jar or biscuit barrel..
I also remember my ayurvedic doctor telling me that if I thought I was hungry between meals to drink some warm or hot water...
If ten minutes later I was still hungry, then I really was hungry.
Oh goody....food!
November 10, 2006 17:59 - Easier to find Christmas tips, weight loss tips and much more!
Hi, As some of you may know this blog has lots of entries going back to November 2004. So I thought I'd make them easier to find. I've divided the entries up into categories and I've even added a 'Christmas blogs' section. There are also 'weight loss', 'health and fitness' and 'happiness and stress management' sections. You can either find the links at the base of this page or near the base of the navbar.
I hope you like discovering, or re-discovering the tips. Most of them are short and sweet, but effective!
Of course, you can still search by month by clicking on 'Archive' at the foot of page.
Or you can peruse the longer articles via the Womens Natural Health Map
November 14, 2006 10:56 - Avoiding Christmas Stress
I enjoy Christmas, but I don't think I would if I left it all until the last minute. I used to work in the cosmetics and perfumery section in department stores and will never forget the stress of the husbands and boyfriends dashing in at the 'last minute' on Christmas Eve..."Quick, I haven't bought anything for my mother/ wife/ girlfriend." Although this was seriously fantastic for business I couldn't help but feel sorry for them...
Of course, it isn't only men who leave things until the last minute, but not quite that last minute!
So I think a lot of Christmas stress can be avoided simply by starting early. Here's an article about that , and other ways to avoid Xmas stress
