February 6, 2007 12:13 - "Why the long face?"

We all know why Mister Ed [my favourite horse of all time] has a long face. But why do so many, who are not horses, have such loooong faces?

I think it's partly because society often programmes us to believe that 'serious' equals validity and intelligence.

Many 'intellectuals' might agree, but 'silly' people, like me, might say 'phooey'. Enlightened gurus have oft said to never trust a serious guru...

Why? Because enlightened beings are in bliss, and do not have long faces.

I believe we create what we put our attention on and that life is meant to be joyful. I also believe we help others by being cheerful.

Would you rather spend time with a 'serious' friend who points out the possible 'pitfalls' and 'dangers' hidden in everything? Or would you rather spend time with a happy friend who uplifts you and is positive about life, work, hobbies and relationships etc?

Also, by spending time with the former friend the gloom and doom phropecies are more likely to happen, as they could 'stick in your mind' and become a negative affirmation. Again, enlightened gurus have often said to avoid negative company.

The bible puts this brilliantly, as in 'don't cast pearls before swine'. I interpret this as don't share knowledge, beliefs, plans or info with those who you think may not understand or will probably give a negative response...

And thus 'rain on your parade'

Have a lovely, happy day!

February 13, 2007 12:16 - Want to lose weight without slowing your metabolism?

At this time of year many people seem to be disappointed that some of their post festive attempts to lose weight have not worked.

If you are in this category don't despair, maybe the following super-popular book, which I've read and highly recommend, will help:

Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle by Tom Venuto, The #1 best-selling diet ebook on the Internet (as rated by clickbank.com), is completely unique and different from other programs on the diet market because it's not a weight loss program - it's a fat loss program. Once you've read just the first three chapters, there will be no doubt in your mind that pursuing weight loss is not only the wrong goal, it may be the reason why you've failed to reach and maintain your ideal body weight

Burn The fat shows you exactly why it's fat you must lose, not weight, why you cannot succeed with starvation diets, and then shows you exactly how to burn off fat, step by step, in one of the most detailed fat loss nutrition books ever written.

If you're interested in learning exactly what to eat to lose fat the natural way - without supplements, without drugs and without slowing down your metabolism - while also learning the why behind it all, then this program could truly change your life. Get more information at:

February 20, 2007 15:54 - Sleep tips!

Are you having trouble dropping off to sleep at night?

A drop oflavender oil on your pillow can be a great help.

Of course, a warm bath before bed is also a great help. I also find I sleep much better if I've done a good yoga session...

That's because stress is stored in the body and yoga helps release it. Another way to zap stress and therefore aid sleep is meditation...

Whoops, that all sounds rather a lot: I just want to tire you out so you fall asleep in no time!
