March 7, 2007 11:56 - Almost instant thicker hair for almost free!
You don't need to spend a fortune for luxuriant hair. Just add about a teaspoonful of bicorbonate of soda to your final shampoo. Or your only shampoo! Personally I only shampoo once.Rinse, rinse and rinse again. When your hair is dry it should look much thicker. As long as you haven't overloaded it with masses of conditioner! And while we're on the 'old fashioned' methods a little vinegar in the final rinse adds a lovely shine...just don't get it in your eyes.
With me luxuriant is a relative term when it comes to hair, as mine is rather fine [read thin!]
More and more women are experiencing thinner hair nowadays. Many believe this is down to increased stress. Here's a page on this site with tips regarding hair loss and stress.
March 16, 2007 11:18 - Forward bend to aid sleep, and 'magical' exercises!
Hi, this is my last blog for March as I'm off on a computer-free trip...Often when I'm away from home I don't sleep as well as usual. Whenever I find it difficult to sleep I find a forward bend helps!
Yes, I know that might sound a little mad, but forward bending poses tend to be relaxing [backward bending one more enlivening]. So if the 'can't sleep blues' hit I force myself to get out of bed and either:
Stand up and touch my toes and hold for at least 20 secs. Or...
Sit down with legs straight out in front in front, move head towards knees and hold for approx 20 secs.
In either case I don't strain and only do what is comfortable. I'm usually back in the 'Land of Nod' in no time!
Also, when I'm away I find I can't be bothered with my full yoga routine. So I 'only' do the magical 'five rites'. They have stupendous results and are quick and easy to do in a small amount of space. Find out more about this antiaging exercise
