Walking - an Easy Weight Loss Exercise
What is an easy weight loss exercise? Well, obviously it's one that actually creates weight loss, and... More importantly, one you enjoy! It's no good joining a gym if you're never going to go. All that will result in is weight loss from your bank account! However, if you do actually go, and also enjoy it, then it can be money well spent. For me, an easy weight loss exercise is walking. Walking is just so easy to fit into a daily routine. It doesn't matter if you use public transport or drive a car. You can either get off at an earlier stop or park further away... And, as you know, walking upstairs, or uphill, burn even more calories Personally I don't even own a car any more, as it makes me walk. Ironically it is the getting started that is the hard bit. Some mornings I feel so tempted to call a cab for the three mile journey into town. But once I'm on the road and walking I always love it. But of course, some mornings the weather is just too awful, or I feel too lazy; so I do call that cab! It's also a great weight loss exercise to go walking with a backpack. Now that is a real calorie burner. I usually carry my shopping home in a backpack... Or a wonderful, and healthy day out is to pop a gorgeous picnic into a backpack and head out for the day... or even a few hours. Think how much you'll enjoy that picnic when you're burning off so many calories! Update 2010:No longer true that I don't have a car anymore. But I really did enjoy being car-free for a few years. Being without the wheels is no longer feasible. I do, however, do yoga most days and the fabulously effective
