I tried many techniques before finding the one that suited me. There was no doubt about it. I knew immediately after my first session that it had 'worked'...

I'd driven through London to my first lesson and was 'white knuckled' with tension, stressed in the traffic.

Driving back I felt relaxed and happy, unbothered by the slow moving cars, buses and lorries. A miracle!

So what was the big difference? Well, all the other methods I'd tried had involved trying to 'empty the mind' or 'not think' or to actively imagine something...

I kept getting more stressed!

In short, they all involved too much effort. And I'd reached the disappointing conclusion that many 'would-be-meditators' do; that 'I just can't do it'.

But I can, and do, and so can you!

I've now been meditating for twenty years and would not be without it...

Why bother? Because it's an easy and quick route to improved health and happiness. Not to mention a more youthful appearance! I know meditators who look up to twenty years younger than their real age.
