Natural Skin Care Tips For Youthful Looking Skin.

Here are some free skin care tips to help make you look younger:

Wear a sunscreen of 15SPF all the year round on exposed areas. This is the best way to prevent wrinkles. The UVA rays break down the collagen which keeps skin firm and youthful. That's one of the most important skin care tips.

I remember reading an article years ago which really highlighted this point: The skin on an old mans buttocks was compared to the new and fresh skin of a baby...

There was hardly any difference. Because that part of him had never been exposed to the sun. He obviously didn't sunbathe in a thong!

So make sure your sunscreen has adequate UVA protection as well as UVB.

Another simple but effective item amongst these skin care tips is...

Exfoliation: The gentle removal of top, dead, layers of skin revealing fresher and younger looking skin. It also encourages quickening of skin cell growth. And makes your more youthful looking skin receptive to moisturisers.

So it becomes even younger looking. So on with more skin care tips...

Brush skin on the body with a pure bristle skinbrush once a day before bath or shower. Brush towards the heart. Do not exert so much pressure that it is uncomfortable.

This is fabulous for skin health. It gives easier 'escape routes' for toxins.

It is the perfect cellulite zapper. Along with exercise, healthy diet and masses of water, of course!

To drink plenty of water is one of the most important skin care tips.

For the face I recommend a piece of muslin as a washcloth. It is a wonderful gentle exfoliater. Providing you don't scrub too hard!

A mixture of natural almond and wheatgerm oil is a wonderful night treatment. Massage it gently into skin. Use minimum oil in eye area. These are renowned anti-wrinkle oils. Apply it to slightly damp skin. This way you use minimal oil and it is more effective.

If you wish you can also add up to 15 drops of anti-aging essential oils to each 10ml of the above oil. I use a mixture of lavender and frankincence. Other good anti-aging oils are clary-sage, rose and geranium.

I think it is best to use plain oil (without essential oils) for around the eyes.

Castor oil is a wonderful moisturiser for the eye area. It also nourishes the lashes. However, only use a tiny amount. It is very soothing for the eyelids, also.

Almond oil makes a good body moisturizer. Apply on damp skin. You can make a delicious perfumed oil by adding the essential oils of your choice in the recommended dilutions.

My favourites are patchouli, ylang ylang and sandalwood. Patchouli is purpoted to be anti-cellulite. Geranium is lovely and also gives the skin a wonderful glow. Of course, the possibilities are endless. Have fun!

Buckwheat flour contains rutin which discourages wrinkles. Mmmmm, pancakes! Also try adding it to bread, scones, cakes etc. It also makes a good thickener for casseroles etc.

Aloe vera gel is excellent for diminishing age lines and liver spots. It is also wonderful dry skin moisturiser and after sun balm.

A very simple and effective facial exercise is to simply scrunch up your face then stretch it lengthways, as long as you can, opening eyes and mouth wide.

Another natural winner in this selection of skin care tips is...

Try and get out in the fresh air for at least once a day. Don't forget your sunscreen. Those rays are there even in the winter and even when the sun is behind a cloud. And your skin just thrives on exercise.

Your body just loves a walk after a meal. It stimulates the digestive process, which leads to more efficient calorie burning.

So an after meal 10-20 minute walk is a double health and beauty bonus!

So, just a few more skin care tips...

If you want to keep your skin beautiful avoid smoking. It ages the skin very quickly. I know, easier said than done, however;

Lots of people automatically give up when they start meditating. Check out my navbar to find your way to a free and simple technique.

Meditation is the best way I know to keep looking youthful So that's enough of a reason in itself, and the benefits are many!

Take adequate exercise. Eat a healthy diet. Drink plenty of water. (That one again!) Keep alcohol to a minimum. You will feel wonderful, and your skin will glow.
