Water is amazing. This wonderful healing, cleansing miracle is so often overlooked. People search for complicated and expensive remedies when they are often just thirsty.

'I'm dying of thirst' is not far from the truth on many occassions.

H20 can

Detox your whole system

Help you lose weight

Improve your skin tone

Dramatically improve your mood.

Nobody explains the benefits better than Dr F. Batmanghelidj.

Here is a review of his fabulous book about this subject:

Amazon.com says:

"As a result of extensive research into the role of water in the body, the author, a medical doctor, believes that he has found chronic dehydration to be the cause of many conditions including asthma, allergies, arthritis, angina, migraine headaches, hypertension, raised cholesterol, chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis, depression, and diabetes in the elderly. According to Dr. Batmanghelidj, the body possesses many different thirst signals. A dry mouth is not a reliable indicator of your body's water needs. He describes a variety of more reliable ones, and helps you learn to understand when your body is calling for water. In this way, he claims you can prevent, treat, and cure a variety of conditions of ill health, at no cost, with what he calls nature's miracle medicine: Water. The author explains how much water one needs to drink a day to stay healthy, and why tea, coffee, and sodas are not good substitutes for water." This indespensable book about water will amaze you!

Here are some tips about this 'miracle liquid':

The main one is obvious, drink plenty. Six to eight eight ounce glasses distributed throughout the day is ideal.

It is good to start the day with a cup of warm water. This is incredibly cleansing. Just wonderful for womens natural health!

It is easiest to keep a flask by your bed for this purpose. Then you can sip it before you get up, while you're still cosy in bed.

According to ayurveda taking a sip of hot water every half hour throughout the day is wonderful for dissolving toxins and aiding weight loss.

Obviously it would be wonderful to drink nothing but. However, most, including myself, would find that rather boring.

So the next best thing is to keep coffee, tea, alcohol, fizzy drinks etc to a minimum. But is is good to lessen their negative effects by having a glass of refreshing H20 alongside. Drink it though, don't just leave it sitting there.

Even pure fruit juice can be a litle harsh on the digestive system. This is because of its high natural sugar content. So it is good to either dilute it directly or to drink an equal amount of you know what at the same time!

Of course we've only discussed drinking it, what about the absolute luxury of being in it?

And I'm not talking about being caught in the rain. That's very common where I live, in Scotland!

No, I'm talking baths and showers.

A warm bath is a most wonderful way to relax. To make it even more so add a few drops of lavender. If you are feeling a bit down or tired clary sage is good. About five drops are adequate. A little really does go a long way.

A warm bath (especially with lavender) about half an hour before bed is a marvelous sleep inducer. If you're like me you'll enjoy reading in the bath. However if you're feeling a little stressed it is much more powerful to close your eyes. And just relax.

A shower, as you know is much more energising. So this is a very positive way to start the day.

It is good to brush the skin on your body beforehand as this dramatically increases the detox properties of showering. And it is the best thing, (along with drinking lots of water and eating healthily) for zapping cellulite.

Afterwards, If you still need reviving add a drop or two of bergamot to some unscented oil or body lotion and massage it into your damp skin.

So now you're all energised and raring to go. I hope you have an enjoyable day.

P.S.Here's and interesting ebook that shows how you can Run Your Car on Water.
